It took me up until two days before Eva hit seven months to take and post photos of her six-month milestone, but I did it! Again, I'll just use the "third-child" excuse. Hey, we're too busy living life to spend our time documenting it, amiright?
This past month, we decided to kiss pregnancies goodbye. I even sold our baby swing and consigned my maternity clothes. Has anyone else ever cried when you got rid of baby stuff? It was a little emotional for me to see that old swing go; it was our teammate, faithfully rocking our three reflux babies to sleep most of those early nights. I'm excited, though, to begin this new chapter of our lives now that we are done with the actual family-growing stage.
We had Eva's baby dedication in January. Her Honey and Papa and two of her cousins made the trip to attend. It was very special to me to be able to hand down my little pink Bible to her that I had as a baby. I hope she loves it one day as much as I did!
Oh, Eva...You have ravished my heart, sweet girl! I have never met another baby who is so full of life and joy! You are quite the little songbird, and I love how you are exploring your voice (just thankful it's not at 4 a.m. anymore!) I cannot stop kissing your scrumptious cheeks! I love how you will grab my face with both hands and give me sweet, sloppy kisses. You are only half a year old, and I have already bought your first birthday party dress and scoured Pinterest for party ideas.
At six months old, you love squealing, watching your brothers play together or entertain you, your paci, eating, bathtime, doing crunches and naps. Honestly, you're a very content little girl! You're not such a fan of tummy time, and you're not quite that into sitting up just yet. But you'll get there! I have no problem with you being my little baby just a tiny bit longer! Time is moving fast enough, thank you.
Happy half-birthday, baby girl! Every day with you is an adventure!
